For this unusual, free-spirited mise-en-scene, McGinley is the perfect choice. He often combines nature and natural beauty in his work. As a setting for the story, he thus chose an untouched spot of California, where he confronts the CLA with an unusual protagonist – a white horse. The main feminine role is played by supermodel Karlie Kloss, who has earned a name for herself through her classical beauty and in particular by virtue of her unique expressiveness. The 21-year-ol North American has worked for seven years now for great fashion creators such as Louis Vuitton, Alexander McQueen and Marc Jacobs and she is able not only to present the delicate white ensemble from Chloé she wears in the film, but to bring it to life.
Jefferson Hack is in charge of the Creative Direction of the film; with his work for magazines such as Dazed& Confused and AnOther Magazine, he has followed - and also decisively put his seal on - the Zeitgeist of the last 20 years.
