Liquefied petroleum gas has an excellent reputation when it comes to heating and cooking. Now this mixture of propane and butane is triumphing on the road – and for good reason. Burnt in a petrol engine, LPG boasts a significantly better environmental record than petrol: around 10% less CO2 and significantly lower carbon monoxide, hydrocarbon and NOX emissions than petrol are strong arguments in its favour. And secondly, refuelling bills are lower than those for petrol or diesel fuel – in some countries there are even considerable savings to be made due to tax concessions.
The Sprinter LGT lets you benefit from all these advantages – and from many more. The LGT bivalent design means that you can choose between LPG and petrol operation. After a short warm-up phase in petrol mode, you can switch operating mode at any time at the push of a button. In this way, the operating range – in LPG operation up to 450 km – and security of supply can be easily increased.
